One of my current websites uses php templates for the main site and integrates phpBB3 into it. I decided to create a video gallery on my main site and used the req_var() function to do so. Underneath is a tutorial for making such a gallery.

First, you’ll need access to functions request_var() and set_var(). Both are built into phpBB3.

It's always really important that when you are creating a website that you choose a host that it right for you. Now, put out there on the web are more than 1000 hosts, so who are you going to choose to host you? There are different prices, bandwidths, space, scams, companies, etc and many many more things to choose from.

The Free Hosts

Firstly you have to decide how much money you are willing to spend on your host. There are plenty of free phpBB3 hosts out there such as:

However, obviously with free hosts there is the benefit of not wasting any money if it turns out your forum doesn't take off, but then again when you see how cheap some hosts are you might consider using a paid one.

The Cheap Hosts

There are paid hosting plans out there that provide extremely cheap and reliable hosting too. You've just got to hunt them out. They come in many prices, shapes and forms, but most likely again you will just want to start on a cheap one and then work your way up as your site becomes more and more popular.
